• International workshop on Web information systems in the Era of AI

In conjunction with the 20th International Conference on Web Information Systems Engineering (WISE 2019)

      22 January, 2020 (Wednesday)

      University of Macau, Macau, China

    • Description:

    •     Data and information are crucial in providing evidence-based decision making in many aspects of human activities, as an individual or as a group. The way information and communication technology are used to collect, process, analysis and store data has always evolved. New techniques are invented, existing techniques are improved, and old techniques are integrated to the new. Each of these provided some challenges and opportunities to our research community in finding the best way to meet these challenges. Especially, with the rapid development of Internet and Artificial Intelligence (AI), efficient processing of Web information generated by Internet using AI technologies creates notable research challenges and opportunities, such as harvesting, integrating, transforming, analyzing, retrieving, storing, indexing and analyzing Web data using machine learning, deep learning, knowledge graph, natural language processing, etc.

    •     This workshop intends to bring together researchers, practitioners, and developers from academia and industry to discuss cutting edge research on Web information systems in the Era of AI, such that the interactions among the experts of these areas can be promoted and new interdisciplinary technologies can be developed. The scope of the workshop includes all areas of Web information harvesting, integrating, transforming, analyzing, retrieving, storing, indexing and analyzing and visualization using AI technologies, as well as Web-based applications, systems and case studies in the Era of AI.

This workshop welcomes different kinds of papers that emphasize theoretical foundations, algorithms, systems, and applications for Web information systems in the Era of AI. Papers of applied research, industrial experience reports, work-in-progress and vision papers with different criteria for each category are also solicited.
